Help, I'm a new coach to pole vaulting

A forum to discuss overall training techniques, nutrition, injuries, etc. Discussion of actual pole vault technique should go in the Technique forum.

Help, I'm a new coach to pole vaulting

Unread postby a lad named Will » Wed Dec 28, 2005 2:29 pm

I'm a distance runner and now coach of pole vaulting at a college and was hoping for any good information on training (lifting, running, workouts, technique)
I always wanted to vault in high school and college but never got the chance because my coaches were afraid of injuries so now I'm hoping to gain some knowledge to help these vaulters

if it's been successful let me know
even week/month/year schedules are welcome
thanks

Check out this site. I don't think it's very far from you. Mike is an excellent coach and the facility is brand new!! http://www.verticalassault.org/
