Swing Up Drill without High Bar

Unread postby robotmaker20 » Sat Apr 08, 2017 8:42 pm

I'm a highschool senior, and my swing needs a lot of work. I see most people saying that the best way to train your swing is on a highbar or something similar. Unfortunately, I don't have access to any highbars at all.

My question is, is there a way to construct some apparatus out of poles, standards, bungee, hurtles, or anything commonly found around a track, that could be usable to help train my swing? Thanks

you could buy yourself some 1 inch or 1 1/4 inch rope make a loop on one end and put it on your football goal post and use that to swing on. that way when you are done you can easily remove it when you are done, you could even slide a short piece of pole or PVC pipe over the rope to simulate the your pole. as a coach I have my vaulters do this on occasion. just one Idea. good luck.
