Hand Related pole vault injuries

i'm guessing these things have prolly happened to everyone from time to time but has anyone gotten blisters on the upper part of your palm near your fingers or had that spot tear open from pole vault? it seems like my team mate and are the only ones in the conference who have had this happen but then again 80% of the other vaulters are stiff vaulting.

does anyone have any suggestions as to what to use to help them heal or what not?
