I've heard alot of hype about sea salt as opposed to "table" salt, and I'm not even sure I know the difference in the two. Why is sea salt better?

i am pretty sure the only thing better about sea salts are that they contain more minerals

Yes, it's for the additional minerals that are refined out of regular salt. Also, regular salt has Iodine added and we get enough iodine anyway.

Minerals refined out of regular salt? Now my understanding of salt is NaCl...Sodium and Chloride......Iodine is added to prevent Goiters in table salt.

So what are these additional minerals that are Refined out.

If you are talking about taking out the Iodine.....that is silly. If you are paying for salt with Iodine taken out, you are just paying more for a product that will do less for you.

Wait...how is soy, the one vegetable protein source that contains all of the essential amino acids, not quality?

So what are these additional minerals that are Refined out. I depends on where the salt is obtained. I don't know what the mineral breakdown is likely to be but I'm sure it's easy to find with Google. I can tell you less refined salt can be different colors. The color is probably a result of different mineral profiles and possibly some other trace substances.

No. Talking about getting salt that hasn't had iodine added to it yet.

Because it barely is a complete protein. It has no where near the the usefull profile of amino acids that any meat, fish, egg or fish has.

Also, it has a protein in it that mimics estrogen. It's debatable if this protein has any negative effects and the debate is so heated and polarized it's impossible to know what side is correct. Since there are so many quality protein sources available, why take the chance?

I don't mind a little soy in my food but I'm not going to eat Tofu, Soy Milk, Soy Protein or more than a little bit of Edamame. You can check out the debate easily enough with your search engine, but, unless you are one of the few reasearchers in the world who really knows the truth, you will never be able to assertain which side is correct.

My opinion is the stuff is bad for humans and the younger and more male you are, the worse it is.

I'm not vegetarian because I love animals, it's because I hate plants.
