Wanna sweet core body work out?
Hang on a pull up bar
keeping your legs straight, bring your toes to the pull up bar
then extend your hips pushing your legs straight up into the air
you should be fully inverted
dip down untill your toes are return to the pull up bar
then extend/thrust your hips up again.
do untill your abs explode!
A variation is to bend your knees as you bring your toes to the bar, which ficilitates the rock back motion better. This excercise is kick butt for really getting the feel of "extending" your legs and hips.

There is also alot more to a good core workout than abs.
Actually abs are only a small part of a strong core.
Core strength and stabilization come from the hamstrings, back, flexors, and anything else between your knees and shoulders.
My core workouts (which have brought me back form a completely broken in half L4 vertebrae) have about 15 exercises. Only 3 are ab exercises.

There's a type of push up that really works all body parts. You lie on your stomach on the gorund with your arms straight and out in front of your head, your hands right next to each other Push yourself up so your stomach and legsare off the ground, only your hands and toes should be touching. I'm the only girl on my track team who can do them.

When I was a kid, we did those from our finger tips and toes.
