shin splints?
shin splints?
anyone else on here get crazy crazy shin splints?... and do you get rid of them.. goodness... they are throwing my run off like crazy... my meds are just not good enough sometimes.

see to me all the suggestions thus far pretty much serve only to ease the pain but not solve the problem, I would suggest doing those IN Conjunction with heel walks, toe raises, spell ABC's with your toes, etc. ive heard taping your arches have helped, also, but ive never tried it. all i do is make sure not to pound my feet too hard and i wear a wrist band around my leg where the shin splint hurts, it really helps ease pain and provide comfort.

Cured mine overnight. If you can't afford to see a foot doctor, go to a running store (not one in the mall, but a real running store) and see if they either custom build or sell insoles to correct pronation or supination problems, which are what cause shin splints.
