Some Big Marks at the All Pole Vault-All the Time Meet... Again!!


The 3rd Annual All Pole Vault-All the Time Invitational at Emory University, Atlanta, GA was again a great Pole Vault meet! Almost all the meet records were broken and we had one I SUPER National leading mark, as well.

HIGHLIGHTS:

The Middle School Girls Meet finished with a Nation Leading jump with Carson Dingler clearing a GA State best of 12-1. The 8th Grader, upped her PR twice during the meet, clearing 11-11 as well as the 12-1. She was backed up by PV-ATL's Becky Arbiv with a 10-1 jump. Will Gilbert cleared 8-7 to win the Boys MS meet.

The High School meets lived up to the high expectations. Great weather and solid tail wind helped everyone on Pit #1. In the "B" level meets, Gill Hoffman surprised in the Boys division with a 12-7 PR to win it. He upped his PR four times on the way to his win. He was one of two "B" jumpers to up the meet record, as 2nd placer Jacob Zambo cleared 12-4. Cheyenne Brooks took the "B" girls after four PR's to win it with 10-1.

The "A" High School meets were competive. In the Girls meet, #1 GA girl Katie Utley set a mew meet standard with 12-4. Five girls followed her with 10-1 clearances, with Laura Sewell taking 2nd on the count-back. The Boys Meet featured the 16-2 clearance by Tray Oates. This is a new meet record.

The Men's Open meet featured the 5.35 (17-6.75) jump of Aaron Unterberger of GA Tech. It was great for everyone there to watch as he took three great jumps at 5.50 (18-0.5)!!

Over-all it was a great meet! Thanks to all those coaches, athletes and parents that helped out. Thanks to Coach Matt Barry and Coach Robbie Roberts, who ran the pits. Thanks to all the PV-ATL members who worked the standards and cross-bars. Thanks to SMART Meet's George Stephens & Ray Lanier for the great meet management!
