Well first I will give you all my specs & statistics

Highest vault so far this year in comp.: 11'6"
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 126-129 last time i checked
Well i'm pretty fast
For my size i am really strong
I am currently using a 12'6" 130 PacerFX
As you can tell i have only cleared 11'6" and i am using a 12'6" pole
Many people have told me i should move up in weight & length because i really bend the crap out of the pole (but i think otherwise)
i think i need to work more on my form and clear at least 12'+
unfortunately the next longest poles that we have at my school are 13' 135 Pacer Mystic and a 13'6" 135 Pacer Mystic... Whenever i try any of those poles i get good bend but it just does not send me (any ideas)
I constantly vault at practice and dont really give myself a break at all (i wrestle and play football and i am just used to constantly moving), should i take more breaks in between vaults or just keep doing what i am doing
well thanks for your help

work on the bigger poles (as long as u get into the pit) but dont hold at the top, this will make the pole stiffer effectively giving it the ability to "send" u like u want it to

It sounds like you are raising your grip too much when you move to the next pole.

You should take some rest in between jumps. When you jump in a meet you usually have a few minutes at least between jumps, so there's no reason to rush things at practice.

steal poles from other schools, its the unspoken way of high school and college pole vault
