Bottom arm locking

whever i bend my bottom arm locks and when i goto row i can only row half way and can only get into a seated postition instead of vertical.
does anyone have any tips on how to not lock my arm but not collapse it either?

What really got me to stop locking my left arm, is when i watched sky systems 5. I think it was that one anyway.... But Lawrence Johnson is warming up at the plant box, and he is checking is step, and when he puts his hands up, he pulls his left arm down. That explanation sucked, but if you can get your hands on it, you will see what i mean. Plus, there are a few threads on this topic, so run a quick search
