my coach is getting mad at me because I dont have a good pole and I hate jumping on long runs at our school so all I have been doing is 4 step runs and I managed to get 9' today(I made my goal by 1')..Im going to use a diff pole and try for 10' . any suggestions on technique

well my 4 step PR my PR so far is 11'6-12' range where I go to get coached and can use good poles.

hey if you need to do short runs to get better, then so be it. go to
www.jscott615.com and watch the videos and note how short jeremy's run is, then check the bar height.
You can always add speed to your vault to improve it, and if you need to run slower to train(I know i do) then stick with it.

yes and no I start with striaght poling then start doing flex run striaght I can get 8'6" flexed I got 9'6" today.

I saw Jeremys' video and it looked like he does a 6 step approach. Is that correct? I'm still trying to get down all the term and stuff that's new (er). Thanks..................Mike
