Outdoor Season!!!

Unread postby bvpv07 » Mon Feb 07, 2005 1:56 am

Just curious to hear from everyone on how your outdoor seasons are going! Being from California, I didn't have anything indoor (except Reno :P ) and so I am really excited that our outdoor practices started up last week (February 1). So far, we have two new frosh vaulters who seem like they are going to stay, as well as most of last year's vaulters. How many new vaulters do you guys typically get each year? My first meet is an intrasquad (the head coach wouldn't believe me that it is intra- and not inter-) on March 3 and then the Clarke Massey Relays on March 5 (anyone here from Northern CA going to those?). So excited!

Our outdoor season doesn't start utill march 15th. It's too cold up here in Minnesota, and we only have one gym that basket ball has untill then.

I live in California as well but I live in southern california. We started practice last week too and we have three freshman which is not very many considering we usually get five or six.

So just how many states have an indoor season? Does indoor just lead right into outdoor?

Being from Oklahoma, you don't even know cold. Our first outdoor meet last year, I had to wear a winter hat, gloves, and their was snow still on the ground! It was not very fun.
