 polevaulting and mopping are amazingly similar in technique, for me at least. they use the same muscles and everything. janitors, or camp dishwasher/moppers would make great polevaulters. i've polevaulted, and i make a great mopper, so i'm sure the converse is the same!

why do some people think of something and just decide to make a poll out of it?

I agree! could you explain how vaulting and mopping are so similar in technique?

Well, when you mop it's important to get your body fully rocked back and vertical. The goal of mopping is to bring the mop to vertical, along with the number one rule of landing safely in the pits! Obviously.

Yes, I agree ryansanta, but let us not forget, rowing is bad at the take off and only used when you're fully virtical and inverted. Also, you need to pay close attention to the wet areas of the runway, you don't want to be in the wet area on your approach, keep the mob in-front of you arms straight and high. Lastly, you always want to be in control of your mop, you don't want to have an early position or too late or you're plant will be off and everything that follows will be affected and then you would have to muscle it.
