Pole Transition

How high should I be vaulting on a 14 foot pole, holding at 13'6", before I should consider moving to a 14'6" or 15" pole? Are there other major factors that also play into whether I should move to a longer pole?

i'm no expert, but i don't think it matters how high you are vaulting. how deep are you landing in the pit? if you are way in there then you are probibly blowing through your pole and should get a bigger one or raise your grip if you can, but if you are landng close to the box then wait for a bit before changing. :D

They told me I should vault 15' to 15'6" with standards at 70-80 before moving up a pole. That's just what I was told, I know people who do it differently. :yes:
