What would a perfect plant with no swing look like?

If you vault without any swing up or anything past the plant what would you do if your plant was perfect. Should you be landing in the back of the pit or does you pole stop at vertical and you kinda just hand there for a sec. Im trying to get my plant alot better and im bending the pole but im going all over the place and i dont think i am getting enough penetration. Also when i plant it feels like i am being thrown forward like i am a step out and jumping into the plant. Any help would be great, Thanks.
