A back extension roll is a roll from being on your back and then rolling backwards and extending into a handstand (palms down of course ;) ). In your drill, are your athletes going up into a handstand and then going over the bungee?

backwards roll

Yep! That's kinda it. If you start from a squat and roll back violently to gain as much momentum as possible then accelerate as you go into a handstand you can get enough speed to actually come off the floor. The ladies get a couple of inches of height between their fingers and the floor. The guys can get as much as a foot. But they both can clear a bungee waist high . . .about 3'.

Distancejumper, do the inverted pushups also. Same premis as the pull up only you're backed against the wall hand stand then do a few pushups. I used to do 15 before I'd jump. It's a good strength builder and "loosener upper" also. Later...........Mike

WE have to do those to. they work really good and are really hard (well atleast for me).[/quote]

Like all excercises, they are a bear when you first start to do them. Very soon you will use them as more of a "stretcher out-er" than a strength builder. Good Luck..........Mike
