Pole Comparisons

Unread postby vaulter894 » Tue May 18, 2004 8:54 am

OK, So I have a girl vaulter who just cleared 9-6 but she was right below the band on a 12-130 Lady Rocket and the standards were buried all the way back. So my question is, the school has a 11-6 140 Spirit in the shed and some other poles but I can't think of any off the top of my head, What are the next stiffest poles up from the one she used? I have an idea of what to use but am not completely sure, she also only takes 5 lefts and I am debating going to 6 or 7. Thanks for any help.

What does she weigh?

That is a high grip for a 9'6" vault. lower it a bit and she will be able to lift the hips up more to go higher.
then you can move the step back.
I love the PV, it is in my DNA

When I was in high school I was blowing through my 11'6 120, and the only other pole I had was an 11'140. It worked out great for me and I jumped 9'9" on it :)

she is prolly at most like 115ish or so, the grip was high at 11-4 or so but when I lower the grip, she rolls the pole over to fast to get up.

with that being said I think that the 140 we have may work out well then Thanks to both of you
