?? how is that so? lol, depending on what you mean by conditioning, I dont think that has anythign to do with it. c-town, howd you fix it? I know it needs to collapse, but i dunno how to know when to let it. I was lookin at pictures of elite vaulters, and they dont really collaps during the swing, but im gonna guess that a 14' pole rather than a 17' creates much different angles, so you cant really keep your arms like theirs on that small a pole?
What have you done today to get better?

Yeah... What exactly does that mean?

Side note: One time, my running coach tried to sell me on running xc, and I relied with a prompt "No." He goes, "Well, you never know. One day there might be a PV runway that's two miles long." So I was like, "Ok, well, I only run from 75ft, so that would just be an unnecessarily long runway." He didn't like that.

well I do xc and it made me better than the sprinters because I can go faster from that kind of training. Running faster helps get the pole to bend better and you can grip higher up on the pole.

seriously. either the psrinters suck or something is wrong. cross country is obviously geared toward training slow twitch muscle fibers, increasing mitochondria in muscle cells, etc, whereas sprinting is most def. gonna build up fast twitch muscle fibers, recruit more fibers, increase strength and explosiveness. if you did sprinting workouts instead of distance workouts, you run woul def. be faster than it is now, at least that's my educated assumption, and i think many would agree with me.

Our sprinters suck this year. last year we got second in our state for the 4x4 using our distance runners, who all but one graduated. our distace team is alot better than our sprinting team at sprinting because our sprinters just suck.

k, first of all, i dunt think conditioning has anythign to do wit it, lol. Its pure technical. second of all i Did run CC, as well as play football at the same time, and i am the 3rd fastest sprinter on my state-powerhouse track team, and hit the weight room 8-10 hours a week b4 track started. I DONT THINK CONDITIONING IS THE PROBLEM!! (sry if it seems liek im yellin, im not, jus tryin to get my point across :P )

how does conditioning have to do with how many steps you take?
