Perryman sets vault mark

Desert Vista junior pole vaulter Jaci Perryman set an indoor state high school record Sunday by vaulting a personal-best 12 feet, 9 1/2 inches, in a state-sanctioned USA meet at Northern Arizona University's Walkup Skydome.

Perryman, who competed unattached, broke Katie Morgan's state indoor mark of 12-9, set at the same meet last year when she was a senior at Tempe Corona del Sol.
