Pole Vault club hosts workouts
TRIBUNE
The Heat Stroke Pole Vault Club will host two sessions of workouts in the coming months.
The first session runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from Oct. 6-29, for first-time pole vaulters ages 12-18. Cost is $120. A mandatory parent sign-up meeting at 6p.m. Tuesday at the Mesa Mountain View High School track.
The second session, for vaulters of all skill levels, runs from Nov. 3 to Jan. 29 and costs $320. The club is led by Joe Sullivan, who has coached eight high school state champions and six runners-up in the past 15 years.
