We have to all agree that we have the worst temperature, winds, climate through out the track season in comparison to the other regions. Its gotta has to be something about the topography and lack of water (well we do have the lakes), but these southern and some costal area folks got it good all year round. Don't get me wrong i know that they can get hurricanes and heat waves, but most of the time its a-okay...or is this just me?

haha so true, but i suppose it can be useful having the skills to vault in rain/ice/snow/sleet/sub-0 temps etc.. (sometimes all in the same day  )
What have you done today to get better?

Yeah it sucks being up north, but it is a character builder. You learn to appriciate each day you get to vault.

we got 15" of snow on Friday/Saturday, we shoveled on sunday, and pole vaulted on Monday up here in La Crosse, once I get it all figured out I will try and put some video of the Snow Vault 2005 on the site.

Good Luck to everyone as we start heading outside... hopefully we get some warm weather soon, we can't seem to get over 40 :( .

These winds are terrible!!!! At least the temp is coming up a tad, but these April Storms are vicious, last night's storm gave a pretty good lightning show although  It didn't strike me so i have the guts to say that :P

APril showers bring ice!

It is hard to get your step when there are ice patches on the runway!

But come Aug it will be sweet in the North while Texas will be 110 LOL

storm passed over us...but we sure got the wind! there was a jv meet at my school yesterday, and the wind was a cross-headwind >.< not fun...the wind somehow managed to blow the bar off a couple times, even though it should have just pushed it farther onto the pegs, that should tell you something about how strong it was...
