anybody got any news on who jumped what today at Saco ME?

Just got in (literally) from Saco - can tell ya some of the results :

Girls side - won by Rita Ciambra of Hanover , NH at 10'6. Tie for 2nd also at 10'6 - Nelly Denehy (Frontier Regional MA soph) and freshman Bethany Dumas of Cony HS in Maine. I'll have full results later after I recover (BLAZING hot and humid all day long - ugh)

The guys competition was quite insane as three juniors topped 14'6. Of course I had to be most impressed by our boy Eric DePalo of Westborough MA who broke our school record by topping 14' on his third attempt. That record lasted exactly five minutes as he topped 14'6 on his first attempt for a foot PR. Because of earlier misses he finished third. Juniors Jordan Thull of East Lyme, CT and Mark Westover of Hanover, NH tied with clean records through 14'6 and each had excellent attempts at 15'. A jump off was necessary and it was a long one - 15' mis, 14'9 miss, 14'6 miss, 14'3 miss - finally at 14' Jordan cleared esily and an understandably tired Westover couldn't manage it.

Heck of a competition on both sides. but DAMN am I sweaty...
