Toto, Christie set records in winning Group titles

It’s becoming a routine for Middletown South’s Julianne Toto: Pole vault 12-0, set a meet record and collect your gold medal.

Toto continued her string of 12-0 vaults and championships Saturday at Egg Harbor Township High School when she won the Group III crown.

Warren Hills’ Kristen Hafford matched Toto had 12-0, but lost the state title on fewer misses. Toto and Hafford vaulter a foot higher than the meet record of 11-0, set last year by Jessica Kloss of Moorestown.
