STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Anna Puchkoff of Susan Wagner HS served notice yesterday that she is ready to take dead aim on the Island pole vault record.
The fast-improving junior, competing under cold and windy conditions at the 15th annual Hornet Relays at Icahn Stadium, cleared a personal-best 9 feet, 6 inches. She teamed with Suhad Rimawi (7-6) to give Wagner gold medals in the 2xpole vault event with a 16-6 total. Susan Wagner also finished third and fifth in the event.
