for all you new yorkers out there, how are you guys/girls doing in your state qualifiers.

for you new jersey people, are you guys having pv in the state meet this year or are they still not letting you people compete?

my state qualifier was my best meet all indoor, i PR'ed by a foot from 13 to 14. But then didnt have the right poles to move up to when i started crushing the 14' 155 pacer i was using (and eventually broke :-( ). Its really dumb how they determine who goes to states, however. You MUST make top 2 or 3 if you hit a qualifying hieght to go to states. For example, say the top 4 hieghts for a certain section are 15'6, 15'3, 15'0, and 14'9, and the quality standard is 13, only the first 3 can go, even if the 4th hieght would get him 4th in the state. I really wish they would make an automatic height that gets you in if you hit it at any time during the year, because in section 4 this year, its looking like we will have four 15'0 jumpers, with me being #4, in the lower 15's, which would mean i could qualify for nationals in SC but not states in NY, lol.
The greater the challenge, the more glorious the triumph
