There are some new videos from Neo Vault. A Blast From The Past it says. Sean Brown is in it. Pretty cool vids.

Sean Brown has some amazing technique. I never knew how smooth of a technician Sean Brown really was. Does anybody know what flex pole he was on or grip height he had when he was jumping close to 19 feet? And he is still young too, why doesn't he jump anymore? Did he get injured?

Perhaps Becca will be able to answer these really tough questions.

Cheers,

LOL no clue, but I will let Sean know you asked since he does not read the board religiously.

Sean had some mad height at 18-8. He definately had the most hip height over it in the three clips. What is Sean's PR? I too wonder why he doesn't jump anymore? He looked really good, and again really young. I think he could have been an awesome vaulter. Nice video's! Plus, I never knew Hinkin jumped that high. Does he still vault also, and whats his PR? Just thought I would ask!

Sean still jumps. He just isn't posting as big of heights now. He posted a 18' jump last year, but didn't get a bid to the Olympic Trials that year. As for his P.R., I'm unsure of, but he has jumped over 5.66m as a college athlete. If you watch Jan Johnson's Sky System's Videos, Jan mentions Sean several times, and there are a few clips of him on there.

Hi guys - thanks for the props on the technique.

to answer some questions I was on a 510m 13.9 holding about 5m when I jumped 18'8"

after taking some time off (about 4 years) I did train heavy this last fall with Justin Norberg and jumped 5.40m in february and was off to a good start. I had been working on some technical things that were coming around.

here is a clip of that jump:

http://neovault.com/05season/sean545.mov

then I strained my calf and just couldn't get the momentum going again.

I think I will always pick up a pole and jump for fun while my body is able. As for jumping high, wells thats a whole different mindset.

So that is my PR. Many say I should have jumped higher. Oh well.

Thanks again for the positive feedback. I'm glad you all are enjoying the clips!!
