Two controversies
1. the measurement; it was measured in metric at 587
2. the official who called the meet is very sharp on this stuff. he says the hand did not hit the bar as a means of steadying it. His wrist hit it and his hand was open.
The call was made and the jump is good. Officials do not get a second call after looking at the video. I was there the wrist did hit the bar and the hand was open. I say the officials call was a good one.
Shawn was trying to not touch it as he had on previous misses.
This was an incredible jump for him he was holding about 17'
