Didn't Brad Walker jump 5.90+ in the past couple months?

Brad did not place in the top 4 at USAs which is what you needed to do to make the team. He jumped 5.84 in Chula Vista.

The entry list seems to say that Scott Roth and Melissa Gergel are also competing for USA this coming weekend...or am I reading it wrong?

They are the alternates. Because Hollis only has a B standard, USATF can only enter an A standard guy as an alternate. The only other A standard athletes (per the window of 2011 Worlds qualifying) are Roth and Walker. They went with the order of finish at USAs.
