· Women’s Pole Vault field has 4 of the top 7-ranked USA vaulters from 2010, plus the #2-ranked Canadian:
o Becky Holliday, ranked #4 in US last year, #18 on World List
1. Competed collegiately at Univ of Oregon, won 2003 NCAA title
2. Best last season of 15’1” (4.60m)
o Melinda Owen, ranked #5 in US last year, #24 on World List
1. Competed collegiately at Univ of Idaho
2. Best last season of 14’10” (4.52m)

4. Won Bronze Medal at last Fall’s Commonwealth Games

· Air Force senior Melissa Beerse, 13th at the 2009 NCAA Indoor Championships and with a personal best in the Pole Vault of 13’6 ½”, returns to competition after spending a year away from the Academy for family reasons.

· Air Force men’s School Record-holder (18’1”) and 3-time NCAA All-American in the Pole Vault, Nick Frawley, now training in Arizona as part of the USAF’s World Class Athlete program, returns to USAFA to open his first professional season;
o Also competing in the Men’s Pole Vault is 2008 NCAA Champion, Rory Quiller, now living in Boulder, is the son of long-time CU and Army coach, Jerry Quiller. Rory has a best of 18’6 ½”.
o 2007 World Champion Pole Vaulter, Brad Walker, has been training at the Air Force Academy all week but will not compete this Friday, opening his season later this Spring.
