I am going to try and do live updates from Pre here. The pole vault starts tomorrow at 1:08. Men's only.
It will be shown LIVE on NBC from 1-3 (Pacific), so be sure to check it out. My coverage is only meant to fill in for what TV does not show.
It all happens tomorrow (Sunday)
Who is going to the meet?
Thanks

I am here in Eugene and the guys are getting warmed up. It is a little on the cool side, but they are in the sun so it probably feels nice.
Unfortunately they are running into a smoking headwind. The wind kept shifting around when the games committee was trying to make a decision about it, so they decided to leave it the way it is now. They won't let them change it.
It'll be a headwind for all the sprints as well

The women's javelin appears to be going well. Kreiner threw 193-0. The crowd is appreciative.
The vaulters are coming up short a lot in warmups.

False start in the 100.
There is a meeting at the PV Pit. I think they are thinking about saying screw TV and turn the pits around anyway. The wind is just a smoking headwind and the guys are not happy.

Screw TV, they are turning the pits around.
I dunno what the wind reading was, but the 100 was won in 10.42 by Brown, so you can tell there is a smoking headwind.

Buller x
Stevenson

Not sure what happens now. I thought it was against the rules to turn the pit around mid competition *shrug*

8:08.08 for Koech in the steeple. He absolutely obliterated the field. It broke all kinds of records. Broke Rono's record.
