Stuczynski 15' 10 1/2 (4.84) American Record!!!
It was worth the plane ticket, the first time Stuczynski and Dragila ever jumped against each other in a meet. Stucz. jumping where no american has ever jumped before 15'10" 1/2... made easily on her second attempt.I enjoyed seeing this in person(an american record).stacey was out early and stucz was struggling, sauer was in the lead after 4.44m. Then stucz went to a different level. Making 4.54and4.64onfirstattempts by a mile. She went under the record once and then casually made it easy.Took one a 16ft. and said that was enough. The torch has clearly been passed.stacey is everthing american vaulting has been, And stuczinski is everything it will be.this is a great new leader for our women vaulters.congrats what a great jump to have seen.

She sure has come a long way in a short period of time.
A promising new talent emerged in the women's pole vault as Jennifer Stuczynski, from tiny Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, N.Y., won the competition with a height of 4.35m/14-3.25. The 5-11 former basketball player took up the vault only eight months ago and is a sometime training partner of national high school record holder Mary Saxer. Becky Holliday placed second at 4.30m/14-1.25, with 2002 USA indoor champion Mary Sauer third at the same height.
She sure has come a long way in a short period of time.

Jennski's AR reported in Russia
I don't know if this will amuse anyone but me, but while perusing some Russian websites this evening, I ran across the announcement of Jennski’s AR on Pavel Voronkov’s TrackAndField.ru:
20.05.2007
20.05.2007
Stuczynski – 4,84
American pole vaulter Jenn Stuczynski at the competition in Carson finally got her way – becoming the USA record-holder, after beating the record of the famous Stacy Dragila (4,83) by one centimeter – 4,84. Above, only Svetlana Feofanova (4,88) and Yelena Isinbaeva (5,01) have jumped.
