And that's it for the junior women! LeLeux wins on misses over Morris, both jumping 4.15. Morris is also entered in Sunday's senior competition, LeLeux is not.

Congrats to LeLuex and Morris. I must give a shout out to Richartz. I coached her in high school and was working with her brother at my camp this morning.

Looks like JJ is tearing it up, I bet the home crowd loves that. There is a tie for second between Cody and Cody, I'm guessing they'll have to jump-off for that junior pan-am spot.

It shows 15'11 for some reason in the results. Are those the final results? Congrats to all who qualified!

The final winning height was 5.25 (17' 2.75") i think. That 15-11 might be the results for "Nike Track Nationals" which was a separate competition for teams.

Nice job to JJ and his coach, Mark Vanderville. Looks like he almost left up 17'6.
there are some videos from the USATF national competitions on runnerspace. It's a little tough to navigate but here's a link. Scroll down to see the menu of jumps (2 pages):

here's JJ's winning jump of 17' 2 3/4":

Stephanie Richartz/Univ of Illinois was an 11'6" walk on. Her HS coach encouraged her to "try out" and a few months later she was the indoor school record holder......a few months later she was a consistant 4.05 jumper.

Dont ever sell yourself short on your dream. Put yourself in the right enviorment to succeed and work hard, work harder than anyone else. I look forward to the next several years with such a dedicated young lady who now believes in herself as much as the the people around her.
