Does he do it on poles under his weight like i do for short run, or since hes a freaking stud he does it on pole at or above his weight?

He runs up into the pole, and with those monkey arms, can plant from shorter distances. Sick Jump Derek!!!!

Well, the one time I saw Derrick jump at the building, he was coming from 12 strides on a 17' 13.0--could have been a little more or less--gripping 16'8. Even though weight rating is very arbitrary (especially on HUGE poles like that) I would venture to say it was close to a 210. I will also venture to say that he probably weighs in the 190-195 range, so yeah, he's on poles way over his weight from the short run.
