Stevenson
Skipper
Hartwig

That is probably the favorites.

Darkhorse's:
Hysong
Miles
Buller
Mack
Harvey

why so many darkhorses? THE TRIALS ARE UNPREDICTaBLE. I wouldn't care who makes it as long as they do good in Athens. Who thought Hysong would have won the whole thing, besides probably himself, and who thought Chad Harding was going to make the team?
i think before my days are done.

I don't get it

I am not tryin to be a hater here, but why is everyone votin for Skipper? Granted hes a great vaulter, but he has gone 18 10 ONCE. I can name at least 9 or 10 US vaulters who can consistently go 19:

Toby
Hartwig
Mack
Harvey
Miles
Hysong
Johnson
Buller
Walker

The kid has got a great future, but for these olympics, my prediction are:

Stevenson
Hartwig
Miles

Look what happened last time:

HArtwig no finals
Toby broke pole NH
Buller broke pole NH
Davis NH
Miles jump off
Manson jump off
Harting Jump off winner 18'5"
Mack 18'
ETC "You never know, so you cant count out anyone in the USA"
Young or old

good point about the 19' think. although i wouldnt agree that all of those vaulters consistantly get 19 there are some consistant over it and some who occasionally get 19(which is amazing not taking anything away from these incredibly athletes)

stevenson, hartwig, miles is a good pick, but seems too obvious there has got to be some surprise in there somewhere. i mean this is the trials, the usa is stacked like crazy.

my pics for the men: toby, hartwig, jeremy scott.......i saw his first 18' jump when he did it at d3 nationals indoors(i also saw that record broken this year it will be interesting to see how hans does in the trials as well he is a great guy) then he set another pr at another big meet--2003 indoor usatf nationals to make the team. he is a big meet performer and my pick for third

women:
dragila, johnson, dutoit
