Lone Star Pole Vaulting 2006 Summer Camp

Who: Male/Female vaulters of all ages and abilities
When: June 26-28 and July 10-12
Where: Texas State University – San Marcos

Many vaulters that Coach Kris Allison has worked with have shown
tremendous improvement. Some of their recent successes include:

In 2006:
• 17 District Champions and 26 Regional Qualifiers
• 10 Qualified for UIL State Championship
• 3 High School Girls Over 12'’0
• 1 High School Boy Over 16’'6
• 6 Medalists at State (3 Gold, 2 Silver, 1 Bronze)

In the last 4 years:
• 12 State Champions
• 15 Medalists at State
• 11 Texas Girls High School State Records
• 3 National Junior Olympic Champions
• 12 National Junior Olympic Medalists
• 9 Peruvian National Records

In addition to these successes, Kris was also chosen to coach the best high school girl pole vaulters in the US at the United States Olympic Training Center in the summer of 2004. His Lone Star Pole Vault Club annually trains nearly 100 vaulters from all over Texas at its clinics.

• Topics to be covered include: Safety, Proper Progression, Drills, Adjustments, Pole Selection, Gymnastics, Video, Weights, Plyometrics and Periodized Training.
• All vaulters receive a free t-shirt.
• Items to bring include: 5 sets of workout clothes, tennis shoes, spikes, swimsuit and towel, open mind!
• All poles and equipment are provided

Cost:
$325 – Campers
$275 – Commuters (responsible for overnight accommodations and meals)

Camp begins at 1:00 p.m. on Monday and ends at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Registration will be from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the lobby of the End Zone Complex at Bobcat Stadium on the Texas State University Campus. (Take exit #206 West from IH35 to the stadium) Camp Schedule: Monday 1-8, Tuesday 9-8, Wednesday 9-12
