Frawley brothers sweep pole vault for Midlothian
Midlothian senior Nick Frawley isn't the only one in his family who can pole vault.
Frawley, the state leader in the pole vault at 16 feet, 8 inches, won the District 15-4A meet last week by clearing 16-0. Vince and Eric – Nick's freshmen twin brothers – finished second and third. Vince cleared 13-6, and Eric cleared 13-0.
The Frawley brothers advanced to the Class 4A Region II meet April 28-29 at the University of North Texas' Fouts Field in Denton.
Nick, who finished fourth at the Class 4A state meet last year by clearing 15-6, put himself atop the state leaders' list with a meet record and personal best at the Jesuit-Sheaner Relays last month. Vince and Eric also competed in the meet and watched their older brother soar over the bar at 16-8.
