Hi all...I'm going to be moving to Stockton shortly and am DEFFINATLY planning to go to Reno this year! Only problem is I am way out of practice. Last time I did a pop-up was when I was coached high schoolers in June. I can't even remember the last time I did any serious vaulting...
Do you know of any places I can vault in the area? A club would be great, I miss those carbon fibers but don't want to buy a whole set!

There is a strong vault community down there with some really cool coaches. Try contacting Monty at Riverbank, Arlen Peters at Modesto High or Greg Wright at Lodi High. The coach at Golden Valley is cool, too but I forgot his name.

Greg Wright is one of the nicest coaches that I've ever met. A few years back, some of his girls came up to vault with us in Sacramento during the summer/fall :)

We are located in Brentwood, CA, which is about a half an hour away from stockton, We have clinics every saturday. You should really consider it. The coach is the best, and it is really fun. Average practice is about 3 hours. Our school is Liberty High school. Also, my coach just moved from stockton to Oakley, and he would make that commute every day to come teach at our school, so the drive is no big problem! Please email me, I would love it if you came out. We have plenty of poles, so you would'nt have to worry about that. Here's my email: soccergirl88@sbcglobal.net You should really consider it. We also go to Reno every year as well, and that is currently what we are training for. Come join us, I would love to help you out! -Ashley

p.s- We are actually vaulting this Saturday at 10 am, if you email me, i can give you all the info, and maybe I'll see ya out there!
