AT CSUF, we have had 2 athletes affected by the fires.

One athlete is a member of this board. No major loss other than material things (house and the items in the house) but everyone is safe and sound.

Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the fire victims

My family lives in Fallbrook. Those fires came within maybe three blocks of our house on two sides, but we were spared. God is good. My family is still evacuated and may get back in tomorrow.

I know the olympic training center was evacuated on tuesday and were allowed back in yesterday (wed.) Air quality is still too poor to train there but is ok to occupy living space

Rancho Bernardo High School has a great program and that area was most affected by the fire...hundreds of homes destroyed within their school district boundry but the school was safe from damage

I know 2 families that lost their homes and are staying with other members of their family at the time

things are starting to get better and a lot of people are back at work today (thursday) and everything is shifting to recovery mode
