I've got the HC-1. The HC-3 has a better picture, but I needed the manually adjustable shutter speed so I can help Peter tape at nationals.

I don't know if this will be helpful to you, but when I do an iMovie import, it creates a funny looking file icon. If I right-click on it there is an option to "remove packaging" or "remove wrapper" or something like that. That reveals real file and directory icons of which one is labeled "media" and has a bunch of *.mov (that's Quicktime, isn't it?) files that are the real video files.

You coming to Sacramento?

sounds like you're on a mac - I'm on windows.

naw, only enough cash for 1 trip, so its off to indianapolis.

also, can everyone/anyone check these 4 files? They're not the correct speed, but just curious if either play on anyones computers:

http://media.episports.com/roth2.mpg
http://media.episports.com/roth2.m2v

http://media.episports.com/roth3.mpg
http://media.episports.com/roth3.m2v

http://media.episports.com/roth4.mpg
http://media.episports.com/roth4.m2v

all these vids are very high res and kinda big files. the mpg and m2v are the same file with a different file extension (some media players might play it differently, so worth a shot!)

Again, didn't work for me with WMP 10.0.

On a side note, I will be in Indy as well coaching. Maybe we will run into each other.

a friend reports success of viewing the video if you save it to disk, then run it from there. Can someone try to 'save as' the files, then run it from their desktop?

That's what I was doing. What WMP version were they using?

I have the exact same version. I must be missing something. I'll try to play around at home with some codec's.
