Tim Knappen.

That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. He's a great guy. Whatever he wants to share with other vaulters is probably worth listening to.

Try challenging him to a handstand pushup contest.

LA valley college

i went to a short session with him. wow. im tired as hell.

first thing he made us to do was a backroll into a handstand push off. he put up a bar on high jump standards at around 3 or 4 feet later and turned hard after a while haha

then we went to the ropes. basic stuff, climb up a couple of times, invert on the rope when u get down.

next to the high bar where he made us do pull overs and tried making me do "kits/kips" and a pull over without touching the bar with my hips. hardcore stuff hahah

next we had to do a handstand on a low p-bar. no way, no how for me. haha we get to the high p-bar and he made us do 3 swings on it into a handstand. even harder and again no way.

last thing we did was 4 sets of 25 high bar leg lifts with a pull over on 26. wow. pretty hard. almost got it on my first try but after a while ur forearms cant take it.

it was short too. we didnt get to the rings or the obstacle course. definately worth your time i think.

went to my first full session last thursday. wow.

start off on the rope. get timed. climb it about 4 or 5 times.

next high bar. we were on it for a good hour and a half doing pull overs and kips. my palms are dying of blisters.

next the still rings. tried to do muscle ups, got up half way before falling. weird because i can do swinging bubkas on the rings but not on the high bar. and at the same time i cant do anything else on the rings.

finished with about 100 supermans, 100 side bridges, and 1400 crunches.

added up to about 4 hours of sweat. im going again this thursday. its fun.
