JO Regionals - Rainier Beach Pits?

JO Regionals are at Chief Sealth, just like Associations were. At associations, vaulters were bottoming out because the pits are just too thin.

So for regionals we are borrowing the pits from Rainier Beach. Does anyone know if these pits are any better? Rainier Beach has never had vaulters and the Seattle School district is known for buying the suckiest pits possible.

I have never seen these pits. Anyone know anything about them? I have some vague memory of Doug Porter telling me that the pits at every Seattle school except West Seattle pretty much sucked...

I can confirm that the Rainier Beach pits were the exact same as the Chief Sealth pits - woefully inadequate.

An update on this situation:

OLD BUSINESS
Patti Petesch reported on the status of the replacement of the pole
vault and high jump pits at Sealth Stadium. Bottom line: the school
district doesn't have any money to be able to replace the pits, even
if the Youth PNA helped with the funding.

A back up plan was discussed: move the pole vault event to West
Seattle Stadium; keep high jump at Sealth, but bring in an additional
pad from another site.

This is what I wanted to do last summer.
