The foul weather forced the cancellation of the pole vault for the first time in meet history, and other marks for the day were far from stellar.

The pole vault was canceled because of the wind and rain. It was the first time the event was called off because of inclement weather in the 19-year history of the meet, according to meet director Don Dalziel.

it was crazy, i headed over to watch the boys vault after i finished at shoreline... we waited for hours to see if it would clear up and continue.
