I thought with the other Ft. Wayne vaulter turning 50, I might get competitive in the M45 age group. This kind of dashes that hope! Congrats anyway Paul!

It's nice to have Paul here in Fort Wayne to push all our high school kids. Nobody wants to get beat by a 45 year old :P

Let alone get beat by a 14'0" girl :crying:

Passion For Pole Vaulting
Indoor facility fulfills dream

By Phil Bloom
The Journal Gazette

Age has never been an obstacle as far as Paul Babits is concerned.

Height is the only obstacle that matters.

Babits is a pole-vaulter; has been since he was a kid in Michigan and began jumping over fences with the aid of a bamboo pole.

Paul, well done! After watching/cheering you on to a close try
at the USATF Michigan Masters Meet at GVSU it was exciting to
be standing on the runway at pit #5 waiting while you cleared your record height on pit #1. A great crowd at Reno
