Old School Pole Available
There is a new (as in unused) Gill 14' aluminum pole for sale in Maine on eBay. Go to ebay.com and type in "gill pole vault" in the search window. Just looking at the picture of the pole tip made my shoulders hurt.
May the Force be with you!

I don't think they even cost that much. I paid $54 for my 1550 black Catapole in 1969. Later...........Mike

Yeah but remember the salaries back then were like $5,000/ year.. $54 went alot farther than now! When I first started teaching in '82 my salary was 14k. Take home at $800/month. Rent at $400. Not much left over for fun stuff.

Re: Old School Pole Available
It's kinda funny but back in those days the question after a jump wasn't, "did I get inverted"? or "was I under"? (OK once in a while that question was asked) or "how was my trail leg"? but instead it was "did I get any bend"? Bob, that's how we bought poles back then. We (and our coaches) actually thought we would "grow into them".....ha ha............Later.......Mike
