I agree with Master. The crunches help with core strength. You'll have those six packs, but no one but you will know it. That 10-20 lbs cover em will come off with diet and cardio! I've been told a cold one in the evenings helps too!!

Yep, going over today at 4. The knee is still a little goofy so I don't know if I'll vault or just ring vault again. I'll have Kevin take a look at the knee and we'll assess it once I'm over there. Hey! just to show you how cool my wife is, she planned her whole day around me not being here for it because she knew I was going vaulting.WITH HER BLESSING! How cool is that? Later........Mike

OK, I'm convnced that ICE is the deal. You guys are right. (at least in my case anyway) Last night I did the half hour on half hour off and half hour on frozen peas deal on the back of my knee joint and it's much better today. So this guinea pig says "ICE FIRST 72 HOURS". Happy vaultin' everyone. Later.................Mike

souleman, does this mean you jumped yesterday or were you just icing down after a hard workout?

Jumped Sunday. Kevin zapped me with an A R P machine like what the pro teams use to relax and heal muscles so the leg and knee were really good. My Dad Gum right bicep started killing me after my first 6 stepper (3 lefts) so I called it a day after that. I did accomplish one little victory though on my second 4 stepper. I wanted to just ride the pole for as long as I could, as upside down as I could get, and see what happened. Holding at about 9'6" on a 13'9" pole I actually felt my feet touch the top of the pole for quite a bit of the jump. Got it on video and even though I wasn't anywhere near totally vertical I was up there and upside down. It's sort of like that 30 foot putt in the hole on a crummy day of golf that keeps you coming back. I'm doin' the "it hurts here....it hurts there" thing right now. Bubba says that as time goes by and if I watch it closely these "I hurt here and I hurt there" things will deminish. Boy I can't wait! Later.........Mike

That ARP Trainer is great. I wish I lived closer to MN.

You're right there! I'll go to practice and that left knee and leg just feel like they aren't going to work at all and he'll stick the pads on and fire it up and I move it around and (I'm not kiddin' here) other than being a little stiff, IT WORKS fine! Yep, I can put an "I'm a believer" for the A R P machine and the ICE (see Becca? I can admit whenI'm wrong). Later........Mike
