I recently took a year off from pole vaulting because I am attending Drexel University which doesn't have a track program. I started vaulting again and I'm clearing high 13' and low 14'. I want to compete again but I have no team or coach. Is there any way to compete without transferring? Is there a vaulting Club in Philadelphia area?

You can compete unattached in many college meets. Just remember that your clock of collegiate eligibility is ticking, so if competing for a team is your passion you will need to transfer sooner rather than later. If you are content to do it on your own, there will be plenty of meets to jump in. I expect to have over 1000 meets listed by the time the season starts.

The other thing you could try is if there are any colleges in the area that have vaulters, you could talk to them and see if they will let you vault with them.

Look up Talen Singer. He's the vault coach at Villanova but used to be a Phoenixville HS. He has a pole vault club or used to so he would be the man in Philly. You could also trek over to Cherry Hill to jump with Tom Davis.
