Yes indeed, thank you irrationality for destroying the hopes of athletes everywhere!
I couldn't believe the news when I heard it. I know WWU is working on finding an alternative to the GNAC's, but the chances of all of our athletes getting into a meet this late is slim to none. It is unfortunate that the meet that 90% of our athletes have been working toward all year has been taken away... and we were fielding half of the combined PV field too! 8 women and 6 men... sigh.

Can you guys host a home meet on short notice?
There is a meet at Pacific University tomorrow, I think that is in the Portland area. That is probably the closest meet. There was one at EWU today and UW and WSU have their dual meet tomorrow.

We got just less than half into the meet at Pacific. The idea of hosting a meet was bounced around, but it was decided to just get as many into an 'existing' meet as possible. Better than nothing for sure, but I still feel bad for those who aren't competing.

I think the University of Delaware has actually had cases of swine flu in their athletic program --- which is probably the reason for the cancellation. I noticed they have canceled some baseball games too.
