Ancient history for all of you but,

Earle Meadows and Bill Sefton were teammates at USC in 1937. Both WR holders at 4.55 on bamboo in sawdust.

They earlier were part of an all USC trio on the 1936 USA Olympic pole vault squad along with USC Trojan Bill Graber, also a WR holder.
