I'd say arizona is a great place to be to vault. We have several awesome coaches and a lot of really good athletes. Just a suggestion, because I think a lot of people overlook what we have here in AZ.

Cali is an expensive place to live, but its 100 % worth it. Living outiside of Cali for the first time in my life, i have a whole new vision of California. ( California and Michigan = 2 different countries)
Plenty of good coaches. May be tough to just go out and find a coach with no connection though, but e mail around, im sure you can get hooked up somewhere. IF you would like to know some coaches shoot a PM. Good luck !

If you want a warm climate to pole vault in then you should come to WWU up in Bellingham Washington. It is about as warm as southern Cali. Alright maybe I am stretching the truth a little bit, but that is probably because I am used to the temps here. in fact I went running yesterday when it was only in the low to mid 30's now that is warmth. This is my Island in the Sun...

Adopt a pole vaulter, I will go to the first person that wants to adopt a vaulter, will vault a much as you want me to and will do other things to. LOL

yeah, don't get a
real job. puling the 9-5 everyday doesn't leave a whole lot of time for serious training. I made that mistake when I came out of school. I had just amde a breakthrough at the end of my senior year and had the opportunity to take a job where I wouldn't have been paid much, but I would have had flexible hours and the opportunity to stay and train with my coach. I passed that up to move to Chicago and make twice as much. I still kind of wish I would have stayed, but I'm glad to be where I'm at now.

Carrel and I were just talking over a broosky. If you like IL and the campus environment, you might have to take a trip, this might be the place to be for you. I'm sure i don't need to tell you about the Illinois vault tradition, and Bryan is a pretty damn good coach ( especially when it comes to short fast guys with technique) I got your number from B, i'll give you a ring sometime.
