I always thought it was a former 18' dutch vaulter who jumped at UTEP...something like Lewenberg.

Sounds like that may suck for Mike Morrison, the 17' 6" vaulter from Virginia who apparently went to Florida cause of the pole vault coach.

I heard Chris broke his ankle jumping in Europe. Hope it is not to bad of a break.

I hope he gets paid well to coach in northern California, because it is not cheap place to live.

He is going to California to work for a consulting company. There are some financial situations stemming from when he coached Marion Jones a few years back and unfortunatly for us and him he could not support himself on UF's salary and had to take a higher paying job. Not sure if he is bringing any of his professionals with him or not but I know he isn't going to be coaching on the collegiate level.

Best wishes to freshman Gator, Michael Morrison! I look forward to seeing some big things out of him in the SEC!
