I don't know what the weight ranges were for the letters. C was stiffer than A and B. I don't know if there was a D or not.

If the weight engravings are the kind that are 1/4" or taller, just take an extra fine tipped (or whatever) sharpie and fill them in so that they are a contrasting color. There should be a red band 3" from the top (below the weight rating) that is the maximum handhold band. If this is missing, you could get red electrical tape and make one of your own. If you can do all of those things, the pole will be legal. Or you could call Altius and ask about replacement labels, but technically you shouldn't need them, though a lot of officials don't understand Altius poles and the rules.
